Whether it be writing or plain public speaking, they get the job done.</p><p>My mentor once told me that to be able to write well, you have to be a wide reader. But I also heard that to be able to write well, you must know what you write (this one's from a movie, I forgot the title though). In thesis writing, it is a different story. It seems to be an investigative story that you have to complete even before the whole story ended. Outside the academe, writing is both a creative and scientific activity. Well, I think it is just like Christmas, the date is not the exact date but at least there's an agreed date that we celebrate it. In Thailand, we celebrate it during the king's birthday--December 5. In the Philippines, we celebrate it on the first Sunday of June.<br><br>The kids gave a special number in church and sang 'Hero' by Mariah Carey. The cut was just small and there was nothing to be worried about, though I had to admit I almost snapped when I saw her bleeding finger--reminded me when she almost severed two of her fingertips when it got caught by a door slammed by strong winds. But this is another story for another blog.<br><br>Anyway, there was a free stress assessment machine in the pharmacy. Since it's free I gave it a go. I know I'm a bit stressed these last few days that I wasn't able to write substantially reports or parts of my chapters.
